Lynn Fancher, Randallstown –
lived at Rosewood 4 years
“I’ve got freedom now. I have my own privacy
and friendly people around me. I don’t have to fight.”
Although Lynn only lived at Rosewood for a few years, from 1998-2002, she has
very strong memories. She felt that at Rosewood residents were restrained too
much and there was an awful lot of fighting. In her opinion staff sometimes
pushed people to get into fights so they could put her in a safety coat. In the
community Lynn lives alone with support staff, she has a job and pets for the
first time in her life. Now, she doesn’t feel like people are following her
and telling her what to do and that has helped Lynn stop hurting herself.
