Goals of CDRC

  

 

The FIRST Goal is to get people out of State Residential Centers/Nursing Facilities (SRC/NFs), with full funding for community services.

 

 

Our SECOND goal is to change the current system to one that ensures people who transition from SRC/NFs do so with tools of self-determination.

 

 

The THIRD goal is building CDRC into an influential and powerful group:

 

·        COMMUNITY- build a strong, broad, committed and diverse disability community, a community that will be networked throughout Maryland.

·        LEGISLATIVE - strong influence in the legislature.

·        TRAINING-EMPOWERMENT - be a well-trained, well net-worked, powerful group who can use their skills to strategize systems change on any issue.
