Ken was
born with Cerebral Palsy. He uses
his “headstick" to type on his DynaWrite communication device to
communicate; he also uses a “headstick” to control his electric chair.
For the past four years, Ken has been employed in leadership
positions in disability rights in Maryland. He is a dedicated
advocate. Ken is the Leader of the Cross Disability
Rights Coalition (CDRC); Public Policy Coordinator for People On the Go
of Maryland - a statewide self-advocacy group of persons with developmental
disabilities; and currently serves on the Commission for the Maryland
Department of Disabilities. He
has served as a legislative intern in the Maryland State Senate during the
2005, 2006, and 2007 Sessions. Ken looks forward to the new 2008 Session with many new
legislators that he can educate about disability rights.
